ARTIST STATEMENT
My work is a direct reflection of my life, the camera is my vehicle, a tool which enables me to express myself. Through the lens, I observe the commonality of pain and suffering - my past personal experiences became a part of a universal experience, and that revelation elevated me to a path of transcendent consciousness.
The capacity to step back and dissolve into the background role of observer, while remaining emotionally present, became essential to capturing in-depth documentation of intense situations.
While attaining more self-realization through the process of my work, It is my intention to unfold both the realities of pain and illusions of separateness that are the human condition; the human drama. Through my images, I seek to deepen empathy, increase awareness, and connect the outer world to inner transcendence.
