Water is life

Thousands of unarmed US Military veterans have joined the water protectors in North Dakota protesting where Native Americans have been protesting against the installation of a multi-billion dollar oil pipeline.

The Standing Rock Sioux Tribe first began protesting the Dakota Access Pipeline back in April 2016.  But since then thousands of protestors, as well as environmentalists have come together to oppose the Pipeline, stating that it threatens the tribe's sacred sites and endangers their drinking water.

In Donald Trump's first week in office, he signed an Executive Order in support of the completion of the Dakota Access Pipeline.  A project that the Obama administration halted by not approving an easement needed for the pipeline to be completed.
